Please allow 48-72 hours for a response as our decorator is working on current custom orders daily

Please allow 2-3 weeks notice at minimum. An order is not guaranteed without full payment at least a week in advance.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR CUSTOM CAKES / CUPCAKES COST?

Prices vary depending on size, details and complexity of your design. Every order is custom, therefore every price is custom. 

HOW DO I GET A QUOTE FOR A CUSTOM ORDER?

To receive a quote email our cake decorator at Tscupcakesorders@gmail.com. Our cake decorator handles all custom orders personally. For the fastest quote please include the following: how many people you need to feed, when you need the cake, and a theme or any design ideas you might have. 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET AN ANSWER TO MY EMAIL? 

We are excited that you have reached out to us about creating an edible piece of art for you. Our goal is to respond to all emails about custom orders within 72 hours. But please be patient with us; we are not at our computers all day because during the day we are baking, frosting, and working on custom orders placed for the week.

CAN I WALK INTO THE BAKERY TO PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER?

All custom order quotes must be started through email. We are busy baking, frosting and decorating during the day and cannot guarantee we are able to stop to give you the attention you deserve if you stop in. If you would like to set up an appointment to discuss your cake we would love to meet with you. Please email our decorator with the basic information for your order and let her know you would prefer to set up an appointment. She would be thrilled to schedule an appointment with you.

YOUR CAKES LOOK GOOD, BUT DO THEY TASTE GOOD TOO?

YES! Have you had our cupcakes in the shop before? Our cakes and custom cupcakes are made with the same recipes, so if you love our regular cupcakes you will love our custom cakes! Our batters are made using only the highest quality ingredients including sweet cream butter, milk, flour, sugar, eggs, Madagascar vanilla bean, and Callebaut chocolate. We pride ourselves on quality and we are always taste tasting to make sure you are received a consistent product. 

DO YOU MAKE GLUTEN-FREE, NUT-FREE OR DIETARY CAKES?

We are not a gluten-free or nut-free facility. We do not make any special dietary cakes. We do have a few gluten-friendly items. These items do not contain gluten but are made in the same facility as our regular items.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DOES AN ORDER NEED TO BE PLACED?

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee for availability. We are a small business creating edible works of art that take time to create. As soon as you know you are in need of a cake please reach out for a quote. We love our customers and would be honored to create a custom order for you! Please do not get upset with us if we are booked. Some weeks we are able to fit a few cakes in with 2 weeks notice, some weeks we are booked 3 weeks or more in advance. If you know you are looking to book with us, please do not wait until the last minute to place your order.

CAN I PICK UP MY CUSTOM ORDER ON THE TRUCK / DO YOU DELIVER?

Custom orders can not be placed on the truck. It is not a stable vehicle to transport a custom order due to the fact it rides like... well... a truck (WAY too bumpy)! All custom orders must be picked up at the bakery located at 2724 Virginia Beach Blvd. It is possible to arrange delivery on a case by case basis with an additional delivery fee depending on the delivery date, time, and location.

IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED WHEN PLACING AN ORDER?

We require full payment in advance for all custom orders. Our decorator handles all custom order payments directly. After an order is placed and finalized, she will email you an invoice for payment online. If you are looking to pay for your order in the bakery please be sure to arrange that with the decorator as she will have to be at the bakery to receive your payment. 

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/ CHANGE TO ORDER POLICY?

Custom orders take days to create, and only so many orders can be taken due to being a small business. Booking a custom order reserves your spot and once all slots are filled orders are turned away. Changes and Cancellations to custom orders will be accepted up to 5 days prior to your pick-up date.

In the event of a cancellation prior to the 5 days, the date can be rescheduled or a store credit can be issued.

In the event of a cancellation within 5 days of the scheduled pick-up date, if the order has not been started in any way, it can be rescheduled to a later date, but no store credit will be issued.

If the order has already been started, the date cannot be changed nor can store credit be issued. This applies regardless of the circumstances. These policies are in place to protect our small business.  

REFUNDS / EXCHANGES

-Due to the tedious, handcrafted nature of our work, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for custom orders. 

-Once you (or a designated party) have picked up an order and signed for it, it is considered “accepted” - refunds requested due to decorating style, writing, color shade, or general design will not be honored. 

-All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our shop. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake during transport, set-up or anytime thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake upon pick up. Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile and damage can happen if not handled properly. If damage has occurred after the cake has left the bakery please call and bring the order back; we will do our best to correct the issue (as long as our decorator is available) - however additional charges may apply.

-We use the highest quality ingredients, but cake flavor and texture is subjective. Full refund requested due to flavor or texture will not be honored. You may qualify for a percentage of a store credit if the product is brought back and the quality of the flavor or texture is determined to not meet our standards. Products must be brought back to us within 48 hours of pick up - please call or email us promptly to let us know of the issue. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Twisted Sisters. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds for products that have already been completely eaten. Store credit percentages are based on how quickly the product is returned, how much has been consumed and what we determine the quality to be. Store credit of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours. 

-if you come to our store to pick up and the cake does not meet your expectations, we will do our best to correct the situation and make the cake meet your expectations or refund your payment minus a 25% handling fee. NOTE: If we give you a refund you cannot keep the cake. You can only get the refund if you refuse to “accept” the cake. We will not negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it or leave it“ policy. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replacing our cake. 

GUARANTEE/ DISCLAIMER

-We do all that we can to make sure that your order is decorated to the specifications on your written order form. Upon pick-up of your cake if for some reason something is not decorated correctly as stated on your order we will make necessary changes right away.

-Every order is handmade. Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to the artistic inference of our expert cake decorators. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration and duplication; however we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other cake decorators.
